This signature program invites guests to explore the complex history of food, labor, resilience, and survival within African American communities—from the era of enslavement through the Civil Rights Movement and into the present day. Through storytelling, guided exhibits, cultural food samples, and interactive demonstrations, attendees will gain a deeper understanding of how struggle and creativity shaped culinary traditions and community identity.
