Save the Date: A Taste of Struggle, April 25, 2026 Save the date to join us for A Taste of Struggle, a powerful immersive experience hosted at the historic Willow Hill Heritage & Renaissance Center on Saturday, April 25, 2026. This signature program invites guests to explore the complex history of food, labor, resilience, and survival within African American communities—from the era of enslavement through the Civil Rights Movement and into the present day. Through storytelling, guided exhibits, cultural food samples, and interactive demonstrations, attendees will gain a deeper understanding of how struggle and creativity shaped culinary traditions and community identity.
