@ Art Explorers: Portraits Wednesdays | 10:15 AM–11:45 AM 3-Week Enrichment Session | 10/28, 11/4 & 11/11 Ages 7+ What makes a portrait unique? Join us as we explore different ways to create faces, express personality, and tell stories through art! Through hands-on projects, students will experiment with drawing, painting, and collage, creating portraits that range from realistic to wonderfully abstract. We’ll explore facial features, proportions, expressions, color, and texture while discovering how artists show both what a person looks like and who they are. Projects may include drawing, painting, and mixed-media portrait activities. Students will explore facial features, expressions, color, and texture while experimenting with different materials and finding their own creative style. Each week offers a new way to build artistic skills, creativity, and confidence. No prior art experience needed—just curiosity and a willingness to experiment! 🎨 Special Opportunities Wonder Village Art Showcase (December): Students will be invited to display their artwork in our community art exhibition. Optional Museum Field Trip: Families will have the opportunity to join an optional trip to the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) to experience world-renowned artwork in person. Pricing: $120 Members | $140 Non-Members Projects and activities will be adapted for a variety of ages, abilities, and learning styles. Students seeking additional challenges can explore more detailed features, shading, perspective, and creative compositions. 🎒 Wonder Village Learning Enrichment Passport The more you explore, the more you earn! ⭐ Enroll in 2 or more enrichment programs and spend at least $250 → Earn a $25 Wonder Village Credit ⭐⭐ Enroll in 4 or more enrichment programs and spend at least $500 → Earn a $50 Wonder Village Credit All eligible registrations must be purchased within the same season (September–December). Wonder Village Co-op and Quest Club are not eligible for the Learning Passport program. Credits may be applied toward eligible Wonder Village events, workshops, and future enrichment programs.
