Collective Perspective EXHIBITION: August 14-October 4, 2026 OPENING RECEPTION: Saturday, August 15, 4-6pm YES GALLERY WAAM presents Collective Perspective, a show curated by the Midtown Kingston Art District’s own Youth Workforce. This show is meant to introduce youth to the critical thinking that it takes to not only choose but defend their opinions about artwork. The downstairs gallery hosts 9 works exploring why individuals like what they like. Each piece was chosen from the WAAM archives by a student whose life experience was very different from that of the person who picked it before or after them. Our choices make up our everyday lives and combine to become who we are and what we stand for. These choices give a glimpse into who they are and what might have led them to become a person who loves their piece enough to stand behind it.
