Ted Dixon: Two Friends New paintings inspired by the music of Pat Metheny & Lyle Mays EXHIBITION: August 14-October 4, 2026 OPENING RECEPTION: Saturday, August 15, 4-6pm SOLO GALLERY This solo exhibition debuts a new body of work examining the enduring dialogue between painting and music through abstract compositions inspired by the celebrated jazz collaborators. Inspired by the music of Pat Metheny and Lyle Mays, Dixon’s paintings explore the intersections of memory, emotion, and human connection. Drawing parallels between visual art and music, the exhibition invites viewers to reflect on how creative expression shapes our understanding of the past, present, and future. Rooted in joy, grief, hope, and reflection, Two Friends considers the enduring power of artistic collaboration to transcend barriers, challenge perception, and illuminate our shared humanity.
