About this event
One of 34 upcoming events at Yellowstone Art Museum, and 191 across Billings.
During this unique two-day workshop, Rebecca Hutchinson will work with participants to create a mixed-media structure or vessel. Inspired by her exhibition Embedded in the Overlap, participants will learn about using personally harvested materials for formal or narrative outcomes, and binders for mixed-media such as clay, adhesives, paper pulp, plaster, and/or cement products. Each participant is encouraged to bring in personal and symbolic mixed-media materials to construct memorable forms, old photographs or drawings, sewing scraps, baby clothes, sewing patterns, patches or uniforms, anything of symbolic reference to make personal icons and sculptural form.
