Workshop with Michael Walek: Gouache - The Other Watercolor

Michael Walek will conduct a workshop in opaque watercolor/gouache focusing on a directional lit still-life of flowering plants with a background of a colorful carpet. The carpet color, seen between the flowers, will help create a sense of abstract composition. Thick water color medium can be substituted and used as gouache. Canson colored paper will be selected to create a general atmosphere of the painting. The gallery will provide some gouache, however student are requested to bring their own water soluble gouache. (Not acrylic based.)
