@ Ikebana Demonstration – Japanese Flower Arranging Old and new Ikebana friends, Austin Ikebana Group is inviting you to join our Friday, May 1st event. Amira Matsuda will demonstrate a modern, Moribana style arrangement emphasizing straight and curved lines. This event is open to the public and free to attend as guest observers (adults only). Note this is not a hands-on class for guest observers – no flower materials are provided. With limited seats in the Auditorium, pre-registration is required by the (two days before event). Speaker Bio: Amira Matsuda began her Ikebana journey in 1995 and has taught over 200 students since 1999, with more than 30 earning teaching diplomas. She has held leadership roles including Director of the Sogetsu Dallas Branch and President of Ikebana International Dallas. In 2006, she founded Ikebana4U School and teaches across Texas. Amira has exhibited internationally, led workshops, and promoted Japanese culture worldwide. She has received multiple awards, including the Overseas Award in 2018, and achieved the highest Sogetsu rank (Riji) in 2022—the first in Texas.
