Helen Sung – piano Virginia McDonald – clarinet Mark Lewandowski – bass Kush Abadey – drums Award-winning New York City–based bassist and composer Mark Lewandowski hails from Nottingham, England. A graduate of the Guildhall School of Music in London and The Juilliard School, he is widely respected as a creative, supportive, and distinctive sideman and bandleader. Upon graduating with first-class honors from Guildhall, he received the Yamaha Jazz Award, presented at the UK Houses of Parliament. Since relocating to New York, Lewandowski has performed with an impressive range of artists including Joe Chambers, David Liebman, Cyrus Chestnut, Peter Bernstein, Jeremy Pelt, The Mingus Big Band, and The Vanguard Jazz Orchestra. He has also appeared as a member of Wynton Marsalis’ quartet, performing at major international venues and festivals. An active bandleader, Lewandowski has released three critically acclaimed albums, including Waller, Under One Sky, and A Bouquet (For Lady Day). He tours internationally and performs regularly at leading New York venues.
