More than a concert, For the Love of Music, Vol. IV invites audiences behind the songs to discover the heartbreaks, humor, triumphs, and unexpected moments that become music. Stripped down and personal, it’s a chance to experience music at its most authentic: one voice, one instrument, and one story at a time. Michelle Malone With a career spanning four decades, Michelle Malone is a fierce, genre-blending songwriter whose musical journey winds through folk, roots rock, Americana, country blues, and roadhouse rock. Known for emotionally direct songwriting, powerful vocals, and an unmistakable combination of grit and vulnerability, Malone has become an underground legend woven into the fabric of Georgia music. Her remarkable career has included time as a “satellite member” of the Indigo Girls, performing as a guitarist with Kristian Bush of Sugarland, and appearing with the Atlanta Symphony alongside Gregg Allman and Chuck Leavell of the Rolling Stones. She has taken her music around the world and shared the road with an extraordinary range of performers—including ZZ Top and Ellen DeGeneres. Across 17 studio albums, Malone has remained fiercely independent and committed to following the music wherever it takes her. Guitar World describes her as “equal parts badass guitar slinger and sweet songstress,” a combination that comes alive onstage through performances that are energetic, authentic, engaging, and soul-stirring. In 2026, Malone celebrates an extraordinary milestone: 40 years of making music. Kelly Neff Joining Malone is Kelly Neff, an award-winning singer-songwriter whose rootsy blend of blues, folk, funk, and rock captures audiences from the first note. A two-time Songwriter of the Year honoree from the Songwriters Showcase of America, Neff has opened for nationally recognized artists including Melissa Etheridge, Keb’ Mo’, and The Wallflowers. Her music combines soulful performance with rich storytelling, finding connection in moments of change, perseverance, and self-discovery. Her most recent album, About Face, explores transformation and resilience—themes that take on even greater depth through Neff’s intimate live performances. Together, Michelle Malone and Kelly Neff bring decades of songwriting, musicianship, and lived experience to the Foulds Theatre for an afternoon celebrating not only the finished song, but everything that happens before the first note is ever played.
