Bird Walk: Borrego Springs Resort

Leaders: Tom Keffer and Lee Christie, ABDNHA Volunteers Enjoy an easy, early Thanksgiving bird walk! Though the Borrego Springs Resort golf course is closed, its water features still attract many birds. Look for Hooded Merganser, Ruddy Duck, Green and Black-Crowned Night Herons, and possibly a Vermilion Flycatcher. Two miles, no elevation gain, easy trail. Meet at the ABDNHA parking lot by 7:50 a.m. Bring snacks, binoculars, and water. No charge; registration required. Reserve by calling or visiting the Nature Center at 760-767-3098. Maximum 10 participants.
