Figure Drawing from a Live Model with Joy George

(4) Wednesdays, July 8 – 29, 2026, from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Model may vary each week.Cancellation Policy: The Cape Cod Museum of Art must be notified 1 week prior for a refund. Work from a live model in a supportive studio setting. Each session begins with short warm-up and gesture poses to loosen up, followed by longer poses for more detailed study. Participants are welcome to work in their medium of choice. Student-supplied materials Joy George attended the University of Houston for Architecture and then Fine Arts, completing a BFA. She studied at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design in Boston for her MFA in Figurative Painting and was accepted to the Newhouse School at Syracuse University, where she studied Communications Design. Joy studies regularly with mentor, Martin Campos of Philadelphia, and has worked for several years with Cape Cod artist, Laura Shabott.
