This encaustic project is designed as an entry level experience to learn how to paint with this unusual but enchanting medium. Tracy will take you step by step to prepare your surface with color, then add the layers of beeswax. This is when the magic of this medium with happen - With guidance you will learn how to incise, or draw, into the wax to create a beautiful tree design. The final step in to rub oil paint into the lines to add more color, and finish with a shine of mica powder. You will take home a lovely piece of art to enjoy!
