Every June, come ride with us and celebrate the amazing Northern Strand Trail! 🥳 We’ll cruise through the communities of Malden, Revere, and Saugus — with the option to keep the adventure rolling on an on-road section through Lynn all the way to beautiful Nahant Beach Reservation. The short route is 99% on the smooth, paved trail, making it perfect for riders of all ages and abilities. Class 1 & 2 e-bikes are welcome, and since motor vehicles are prohibited by law, you can enjoy a relaxed, family-friendly ride. Whether you’re a seasoned cyclist or just looking for a fun way to spend a June morning, we’d love to have you along. We expect to roll back into Malden by noon — smiles guaranteed! 🚴☀️ Rides Details 8am – Check in begins, pre-ride activities such as quick bike checks, Door Prizes, B2C Merch for sale, opening remarks at the B2C Bike Kitchen, 158 Canal St. in Malden (Parking available on Canal Street and CHA Malden Care Center Parking Lot across the street.) 9am – rides start Routes & Length: The two rides begin and end at the B2C Bike Kitchen. There are 2 route options for each participant to choose from. The long ride going all the way to DCR’s Nahant Beach Reservation and back will be ~20 miles round trip, and includes both trail and on-road riding. The on-road segment in Lynn will have a police detail escorting riders. Expect an average riding speed of 10-15 mph. The short ride (Family Friendly length) will be ~14 miles round trip, will be fully on the trail, and will turn around at Marsh View Park in Lynn. Expect an average riding speed of 8-12 mph. Minimum age for riders is 8 years old, unless on a tag-along, trailer, or bike seat. Come for the ride, stay for the sense of community and belonging! Other Details Pack your favorite lunch and bring your appetite for adventure! 🥪🚲 Bike to the Sea will keep you fueled along the way with complimentary snacks and water. 🌊 New this year: after the ride, keep the fun rolling at the Bike to the Sea Bike Kitchen for a sea-themed post-ride hangout! Relax, connect with fellow riders, and celebrate a great day on the trail. Helmets are required to be worn by all riders. Bring water, a flat repair kit, and sunscreen.
