Recommended for ages 12 and older Are you a painter, sketcher, or nature journalist? This is a special opportunity to spread out your drawing materials and take your time sketching in the Bell’s Touch and See Lab and at our wildlife dioramas. Bring your own materials or try out some of ours! Join us for an evening of Beavers and Botanicals sketching! Guest artists of the Eloise Butler Wildflower Garden Florilegium will be on hand with demonstrations, and the exhibition Wild Beauty: The Botanical Art of the Eloise Butler Wildflower Garden Florilegium will be open for viewing, with artist-led tours and painting demonstrations, from Dana Boyle, Ronda Dick, and Marilyn Garber. In keeping with our theme, mammal and plant specimens will be on display for detailed drawing. Please note: This is a special program for sketchers. The Planetarium will not be open. Participants pay regular museum admission: tickets are available in advance or at the door. Are you a Bell Museum member or a University of Minnesota student? Bring your member card or University ID for free entry and skip the line! This is an in-person event at the Bell Museum and is included in the cost of regular admission.
