About this event
One of 590 upcoming events at Blue Sage Center For the Arts.
Opening reception on August 28th in the gallery from 5 – 7 PM. Aspens Alive Aspens Alive is the story of aspens, as told from their perspective, about their uniqueness as trees and how they support life and the larger ecosystem as a whole. As some of the oldest and largest living organisms on Earth, there are parallels and lessons for us that can be applied towards each other and for our own survival as a species. The exhibition is on display August 28 – September 23. AMY GROGAN Amy works in reduction printmaking, with works that are part representational, part abstraction. Her designs are all original, hand carved and hand printed on handmade Japanese paper. Each print contains 5 to 7 colors, with one print layer for each color, meaning each edition takes one to two weeks to complete. Her work is steeped in her emotional connection to the Western and Southwestern landscape from over 30 years of backcountry exploration and observation.
