Workshop: Making Pigments from Nature

In this workshop, participants will learn about local plants that can be used to make inks and paints. We will explore the process of extracting colors from plant materials and how to manipulate them to create a range of hues. Each participant will make at least one ink and explore lake pigments during the session. They will take home a small supply of several other inks and paints. Participants will also have the opportunity to try a broad spectrum of colors from Melody’s own collection of pigments. No experience needed – just curiosity!
