3-Day Studio Landscape Workshop with Artist John P. Lasater, IV / “Developing a Large Studio Landscape” Wednesday, March 24 – Friday, March 26, 2027 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM This workshop aims to address the common struggle artists face in maintaining a sustained effort and the importance of taking breaks during the painting process. Led by John P. Lasater, IV, an acclaimed artist known for his numerous awards in national competitions and his expertise in landscape subjects, participants will learn techniques to infuse vitality into their studio landscape paintings. John’s mastery of pictorial concepts, open-form painting, naturalism, sophisticated color mixing, and design principles will be shared through insightful lectures, daily demonstrations on one large painting of his own, and hands-on guidance as students develop one large landscape over three days. Prepare to be enlightened and challenged by his wealth of experience in painting and teaching.
