3-Day Workshop with Artist Susan Patton / “Paint Like A Sculptor – A Study of the Form and Features of the Head” Wednesday, December 2 – Friday, December 4, 2026 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM This workshop will teach painting portraits from a live model with photo references to supplement. Topics covered will include how to paint the form of the head in the way a sculptor would model, as well as an intense study of the features of the face: the eyes, ears, nose, and mouth. We will look closely at the work of the old masters for inspiration, including the work of John Singer Sargent.
