About the Artists Timothy Garrett Timothy Garrett is a distinguished solo, chamber, and orchestral cellist whose career has taken him from Carnegie Hall to festivals, theaters, and recording studios across the country. A longtime member of the Bangor Symphony Orchestra and co-founder of the 45th Parallel Ensemble, Garrett is also an active educator and collaborator, performing with ensembles and artists throughout New England and beyond. Caleb Sension Caleb Sension, a Bangor, Maine native, is an organist, pianist, cellist, and composer with wide-ranging musical interests. He studied organ under the direction of Dr. Kevin Birch and has furthered his artistry through masterclasses and summer courses with distinguished organists including Eric Plutz, Tomi Satomaa, Christian Lane, Balázs Szabó, and Peter Krasinski. His musical interests span a broad historical spectrum, from Medieval Gregorian chant and historical keyboard performance practice to French Impressionism, Modernism, and progressive jazz. As a cellist, he studies with Timothy Garrett and performs with a local cello ensemble known for its eclectic repertoire and thoughtfully curated concert programs. Deeply rooted in sacred music, Caleb serves as Organist and Music Director at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Bar Harbor, where he directs both the Sunday morning choir and the Latin Mass Schola. He also serves as Auxiliary Organist and Director of the College Choir at the Newman Center at the University of Maine, Orono. In addition to his performing career, Caleb maintains a private piano studio, teaching students throughout the greater Bangor area and Mount Desert Island.
