Join our beginner-friendly mindful fiber retreat. This introduction to weaving is designed to encourage calm and relaxation through mindful repetition. Slow down and quiet your mind while creating a soft wall hanging using your hands. No art experience needed! What You’ll Learn: The basics: How to set up a simple handheld loom. Core stitches: Simple plain weave, soumak stitches, and creating soft texture. other textiles/ fabric, rope, string and ribbon. Finishing touches: How to take your piece off the loom and hide the loose ends. What’s Included: Loom, comb and weaving needle will be available to use in class Curated selection of yarns, ribbons and fabrics use in your piece Step-by-step guidance in a supportive space.
