Summer 2026 Puppetry Workshop: Cutting Machines for Shadow Puppets and More (Level 2) register now Cutting Machines for Shadow Puppets and More (Level 2) with Myra Su To help you save time and your wrists, this workshop will teach you how to digitize your puppets so that parts can be made using a craft cutting machine or laser cutter. These techniques are primarily geared towards shadow puppets, but can also be used for certain 3D puppet designs. We will use free software (Inkscape and GIMP), but the process can be replicated in many different programs. Prerequisite: The class is intended for people with prior shadow puppet experience who are perhaps new to drawing programs and want to learn how to use them for puppet-specific applications.
