About this event
One of 10 upcoming events at Coastal Rivers Conservation Trust.
Join us for a special trail workday! For Trail Tamers in August, we’re partnering with our friends from Waterstruck Wellness for their Stewardship and Sauna series. Volunteering in the morning, followed by an afternoon sauna. We will start the day with a morning of trail work at Dodge Point from 9:00am – 12:00pm. The work will consist of rerouting a section of trail by the water, and repairing and installing sections of bog bridging. For this portion of the day, please bring work gloves, water, and sturdy shoes; we will supply all necessary tools, but feel free to bring your favorite pair of loppers or handsaw! We will wrap up trail projects at 12:00pm. At this time, folks can head into town to grab food or enjoy the lunch they brought before the second half of our day. Coastal Rivers staff will be picnicking at Dodge Point and have some snacks to share for anyone who wants to join. After lunch, we will reconvene at Waterstruck Wellness for a sauna session from 1:00 – 3:00pm. Waterstruck Wellness is generously donating this community sauna session as part of the Stewardship and Sauna series. Volunteers are encouraged to pay what they wish for the session, with all proceeds going to Coastal Rivers. Waterstruck Wellness is an 18+ facility. If you plan to attend the sauna afternoon, registration is required and space is limited. Please reserve your spot at Waterstruck’s website here. If you are joining for the morning of trail work only, please RSVP by emailing Bell at [email protected]
