About the Artist Heather first developed a curiosity for knitting during her college years, but assumed it would be a difficult craft and put off learning it. After college, as an underemployed graduate, she took up a beginning knitting book and the challenge and discovered it was much more accessible than she assumed. Soon after, she landed a job in a local yarn shop, and discovered the depths of craft that can only be discovered through community. Somehow, a quarter of a century has passed since her first awkward knits and purls, but her love of fiber, teaching, and obsessive knitting has not waned.
