Description: Learn to transform thread into cloth using magical spells such as math, songs, design, planning, rhythm, an so on! Learn to decipher historic weaving codes and write your own, while weaving on the “world’s first computer” (the loom)! In this introductory weaving class designed for young artists, Margaret will share their love of the craft and will guide students through the full process of using a floor loom! From initial design ideas, through super fun weaving math, onto the loom and off, and over to sewing machines and sergers to complete works of art; this weeklong workshop is a serious dive into the craft of weaving.
