Learn how to torch fire silver metal clay with a set stone! All-Day Workshop Date: Saturday, September 5, 2026 Time: 10am-5pm Description: Learn how to fire silver metal clay with a butane torch, while making leaf-impression jewelry adorned with colorful cubic zirconia! Proper setting of heat-safe stones will be covered, along with metal clay basics, bail making, and hands-on torch firing practice guided by the teacher. Tuition: $105 + $65 materials fee Materials: All materials will be provided We really want you to join us in the studio! Full and partial tuition scholarships are available to offset some of the financial burden of attending a class. If workshops must be cancelled due to insufficient enrollment, the entire class fee will be refunded through Eventbrite, or you may leave your workshop fee in your Contemporary Craft account for future workshops. Refund Policy: Student refund requests must be made at least three business days before a class begins. There will be a $25 cancellation fee. About the Artist Donna Penoyer is a master metal clay instructor who has been working in the medium since 2005. She has taught workshops throughout the U.S., England, and Belgium and has created a number of video tutorials available through craftcast.com. Although she developed a spirited, over-the-top, 21-year career as a professional stiltwalker, these days Donna is pretty down-to-earth. She is a welcoming teacher who believes there is a gleeful maker in everyone.
