Come in to work on your own metalsmithing projects with instructor assistance! 8 week Open Studio Series Dates: Thursdays, May 28 – July 16th, 2026 Time: 6pm-9pm Description: Work alongside fellow metalsmiths while having an experienced instructor on hand for guidance and support! Metals Guided Open Studio is paid open studio time for all levels of metalsmiths who want help refining their own projects and would like to work alongside fellow makers. Bring what you’re working on and get individualized feedback on design, process, and technique as you go. This is not a step-by-step class, but a collaborative open studio environment: set your own goals, work at your own pace, and ask questions as needed while the instructor circulates, troubleshoots, and offers suggestions. Perfect for anyone who wants accountability, community, and a knowledgeable “extra set of eyes” in the metals studio! Tuition: $295 Materials: CC has copper, brass, and sterling silver materials available for purchase if needed for personal projects. We really want you to join us in the studio! Full and partial tuition scholarships are available to offset some of the financial burden of attending a class. If workshops must be cancelled due to insufficient enrollment, the entire class fee will be refunded through Eventbrite, or you may leave your workshop fee in your Contemporary Craft account for future workshops. Refund Policy: Student refund requests must be made at least three business days before a class begins. There will be a $25 cancellation fee. No refunds will be given without three-business days notice. Processing of refunds takes approximately three weeks. About the Instructor Vicki Branagan is Contemporary Craft’s Metals Studio Coordinator. She completed CC’s studio apprentiship in 2024. Vicki is a metalsmith, woodworkder, and avid crocheter. She received her MFA From Edinboro University in 2022 and has lived in Pittsburgh, PA since graduating.
