About this event
One of 50 upcoming events at Continuing Education Inc., and 8,177 across Tampa Bay.
This program addresses the critical intersection of geriatrics and addiction medicine, providing integrated strategies for managing the complex needs of aging patients. The curriculum is designed to strengthen your ability to care for this population, which often faces challenges such as cognitive decline, polypharmacy, and substance use disorders. By bridging these two essential fields, the course enhances your capacity to contribute to interdisciplinary teams and improve patient outcomes through a more holistic understanding of co-occurring conditions. Sessions led by expert faculty, Drs. Allison Batchelor and Steven W. Clay, cover topics including the differential diagnosis of delirium, dementia, and depression; strategies for falls prevention; polypharmacy reduction; and the neurobiology and treatment of addiction. This program offers up to 21.00 hours of continuing education credit. The conference setting provides a unique opportunity for focused learning and valuable peer interaction.
