About this event
One of 50 upcoming events at Continuing Education Inc., and 8,402 across Tampa Bay.
This program provides a clinical update on the interconnected challenges of diabetes, metabolic syndrome, and obesity. Led by Dr. Duane Eichler and Dr. Frances Sahebzamani, the curriculum moves beyond surface-level treatment to explore obesity as a complex, chronic disease. Sessions will examine the roles of genetics, environment, and the gut microbiome, helping clinicians understand the foundational drivers of metabolic dysregulation. The content is designed to help you apply this knowledge to create more effective, comprehensive care strategies for your patients. Participants will evaluate current evidence-based lifestyle interventions, review recommendations for pharmacologic agents, and discuss how bariatric surgery outcomes are informing new therapeutics. Among the topics covered are the management of common comorbidities, including mood disorders, and best practices for supporting patients using new obesity management medications. This conference combines focused educational sessions with the amenities of the Celebrity Equinox.
