About this event
One of 50 upcoming events at Continuing Education Inc., and 8,402 across Tampa Bay.
This program provides a focused update on the intersecting fields of pain management, palliative medicine, and neurology. Guided by the extensive clinical experience of Dr. Joel Kaufman and Dr. Charles Mills, sessions are designed to enhance your ability to manage complex patient needs. You will explore current best practices for challenging scenarios involving neurodegenerative disease, chronic illness palliation, and complex pain. Among the topics covered are emerging biomarkers in neurology, pain management amidst the opioid epidemic, palliation for conditions like ESRD and CHF, and updates on stroke and dementia. Upon completion, you will be better equipped to navigate difficult conversations about advanced care directives, manage end-of-life symptoms, and apply evidence-based approaches to improve patient outcomes. The curriculum includes participant case discussions to help integrate new knowledge into your daily practice. Engage with colleagues and faculty in a collegial environment while sailing aboard the Celebrity Eclipse.
