WOW November: Tree Detectives

Trees have stories to tell—and we’re going to be tree detectives! By looking closely at tree rings, bark, leaves, seeds, and other clues, we’ll discover what a tree can tell us about its age, its growth, and the challenges it has faced. We’ll investigate the evidence, make our own discoveries, and see how much of a tree’s story we can piece together. We’ll end by painting tree discs that you can take home. Join Andrew Sileo, our Town aborist, as we uncover the inside stories of trees. This outing is for children with their families. The minimum age is 5 years old. We will be walking on and off trails, so dress appropriately. No need to bring anything but your curiosity. No dogs or strollers, please. Pre-registration is required HERE. Make sure you include the number of children and their ages! If you are unable to attend, please update your sign-up so another family may participate. If the Sign-up Genius is full and you’d like to be added to a waitlist, email Carly at [email protected]
