MONOTYPES: PAINTING WITH A PRESS with Mark Zunino Dates: Sundays, July 26 & August 2, 2026 Time: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM Ages: 18+ Members: $184.50 / Non-members: $205 This hands-on workshop introduces artists to the unique and versatile process of offset monotype printmaking using a hand-operated offset press. Combining the immediacy of painting with the reproducibility of printmaking, this technique offers an exciting expansion of traditional monoprint practices. Participants will create images by painting directly onto plexiglass using printmaking inks. Unlike traditional monoprint or monotype methods—where a single strong impression is followed by a faint “ghost” print—this offset process allows for consistent image transfer through a registration system that enables the plate and paper to move in and out of the press with precision. As a result, artists can produce a series or a small edition of closely related prints.
