@ * Event minimum is five attendees. If fewer than five tickets are sold, the class will be canceled, and purchasers will be refunded. Hone your pinch pot skills in this intimate two-day workshop. Hosted by ceramicist Natalie Boorman at her studio. Materials included. Day 1: July 18th, 10 am – 12 pm On the first day, Natalie will teach you how to make pinch pots. Day 2: August 1st , 10 am – 12 pm Once pots are dry, you’ll pit-fire your pieces with Natalie’s guidance. Final piece pick-up: August 2nd at 2 pm About the Artist: Natalie Boorman has worked with clay for the past 40 years, creating hand-built vessels using the pinch pot method. She finishes her vessels by burnishing, bisque firing in an electric kiln, and then either firing them in a pit or a raku kiln, both variations of what’s known as smoke firing.
