National Librarians Day

National Librarians Day, observed annually on April 16, is a day dedicated to celebrating the invaluable contributions of librarians. These professionals are the backbone of libraries, fostering education, literacy, and access to information. Beyond organizing books, librarians serve as educators, mentors, and community builders, adapting to the digital age with innovative programs and resources. This day is an opportunity to honor their dedication and the vital role they play in empowering individuals and strengthening communities. Today, we honor the incredible librarians who fuel the world’s curiosity, champion access to knowledge, and empower communities through their unwavering dedication. As the heart of every library, librarians are more than just bookkeepers—they are educators, mentors, and the trailblazers of intellectual freedom. FOLIO stand proudly in support of librarians everywhere. Through advocacy, resources, and a thriving professional network, we help ensure these knowledge navigators have the tools they need to inspire the next generation. Join us in celebrating the unsung heroes who make every page, every story, and every dream possible.
