Cave Trip: Field Notes From The Underground

Cave Trip: Field Notes From The Underground Field trip through a local cave tour and hand-make zines, in support of global artist Saya Woolfalk’s upcoming art installation at the Austin Airport. Together, we’ll journey out to Longhorn Cavern State Park in Burnet, Texas (45-minute drive, tickets provided) and community-source nature rubbings and found sounds. Following the trip, we’ll gather at Future Front’s location on 1900 E 12th to assemble our zines and share oral histories around Austin’s relationship to nature and community arts subcultures. Facilitated by Future Front director and sound artist Jane Hervey, materials collected at the session will be used to inform Saya Woolfalk's Woods Woman Method.
