This workshop supports high school students in shaping their best photographic work into a focused, compelling portfolio, whether preparing a photography portfolio for college applications, AP submission, or an art supplement. Students will learn how to select and sequence images, identify strengths in their work, and refine a cohesive visual voice. Participants will explore editing strategies, thematic development, and presentation formats while gaining a deeper understanding of how to communicate ideas through images. With over three decades of teaching experience, David Oxton brings a seasoned perspective on preparing work for competitive art programs and portfolio reviews. Open to all students, not only those planning to major in the arts, the workshop also includes visits from practicing artists and photographers, who will share their experiences in the field and offer insight into what it looks like to be an artist today. David Hilliard, Hannah Latham and Erin Carey will be our workshop guests.
