HAMPTON BALLET THEATRE SCHOOL: THE NUTCRACKER

The Hampton Ballet Theatre School (HBTS) is excited to present their seventeenth annual production of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s beloved Nutcracker. The performances will be staged Friday, December 11 at 7 PM, Saturday, December 12 at 1 PM and 7 PM, and Sunday, December 13 at 2 PM. Advance ticket prices range from $40-$55 and day of performance ticket prices range from $45-$60. Premium and orchestra seating is available at rates for both children (under 12 years of age) and adults. Group rates for all performances are available for groups consisting of 10 or more people. The ballet is choreographed by the director of HBTS, Sara Jo Strickland. The performance features beautiful costumes designed and hand sewn by Yuka Silvera, Sara Jo Strickland, and Kate McManus. Lighting design is by Sebastian Paczynski. HBTS’ Pro Students Major Bovio, Leila Genender, Summer Lillie, Olivia Quinn, Shoshana Sobey, Catherine Porter, Ayla Gaites, Twyla Tracy and Talula Tracy will all dance featured roles with special guest artists. Hampton Ballet Theatre School’s Nutcracker will enchant those of all ages. The students of HBTS transport the audience to a land where angels, snowflakes and flowers dance while Clara saves the Nutcracker Prince from the evil Mouse King.
