About this event
One of 25 upcoming events at Harwich Conservation Trust, and 957 across Cape Cod.
Dragonflies and damselflies have been flying over wetlands, meadows, and woodlands for over 300 million years. They are one of the most primitive orders of insects found on Earth today. Please join field naturalist and author Peter Trull at Sand Pond Woodlands this summer to learn about the life history of these winged jewels. Have fun practicing how to identify characteristic field marks that distinguish species. Patience is key to recognize subtle differences. The diversity and flight times of the dragons and damsels will change throughout the season. Bring binoculars and, if desired, a camera as well.
