Looking for fresh inspiration beyond standard pumpkin pie for fall entertaining or yummy fall dinners with the family? Join Glendy in this hands-on class, the results of which will be savory, seasonal cooking as we make three beautiful Asian recipes that are perfect for autumn gatherings and holiday entertaining. We’ll begin with a demonstration of a savory Sticky Rice Stuffed Autumn Squash, which will bake while we make two hands-on recipes: crispy Rice Paper Dumplings filled with seasonal vegetables and charming Pumpkin Mochi. Along the way, you’ll learn techniques for working with rice paper, glutinous rice flour, and sticky rice, as well as tips for make-ahead preparation, seasonal variations, and creative presentation. Besides being delicious, all recipes in this class are naturally vegan and gluten-free, with simple ideas for adapting them to a variety of dietary needs, perfect to share with everyone around your table. Menu to include: Sticky Rice Stuffed Autumn Squash Crispy Rice Paper Dumplings Pumpkin Mochi This hands-on class (plus lunch) is limited to ten people. CLICK HERE TO SAVE A SPOT About Glendy: Glendy Yeung grew up in Hong Kong, where food is a second language and eating well is a way of life. A passionate vegetarian home cook, Glendy has spent decades collecting techniques and flavors from cooking classes taken throughout her travels around the world. She finds equal inspiration in dishes that stop her in her tracks and in the food of her childhood, the flavors her grandmothers made that live somewhere between memory and appetite. Her dumpling club, a monthly gathering of friends around a shared table, is where tradition, curiosity, and community meet. What Glendy brings to the table is the real thing: authentic Chinese home cooking in its most personal form, a deep love of feeding people, and the unshakeable conviction that the best food is always made by hand. Cancellation policy: We do not offer refunds on purchased tickets. Cooking class attendees receive 10% discount on kitchenware purchases on class day. HGS Home Chef is a member of TheWorkshopExperience.org, a group of friends who produce an annual festival of creative workshops on a wide variety of topics in and around Hillsdale, NY – at the crossroads of the Hudson Valley and Berkshires.
