About this event
One of 20 upcoming events at Historic Beverly, and 3,162 across Greater Boston.
August marks both the certification of the 19th Amendment and Women’s Equality Day, making it the perfect time to explore the stories of the women who shaped Beverly’s past. Join Historic Beverly for the second installment of Women’s Rights (and Wrongs), part of our popular 3 in 30 series. In this informal 30-minute talk, we’ll use three objects from the collection to uncover the stories of women whose lives, work, and experiences helped shape our community. Together, these objects offer a glimpse into the diverse lives of Beverly women and the many ways they influenced the city’s history. Whether you joined us for Part 1 or are attending for the first time, you’ll discover new stories, new objects, and new perspectives from the Historic Beverly collection.
