, Join us in celebration of the bold, defiant, and often overlooked women of the nineteenth century. We’re partnering with the Dead Ladies Show to explore the stories behind Charlotte Canda’s magnificent tomb, a monument to a life tragically cut short; the colorful adventures of Lola Montez, whose daring career as a dancer and courtesan captivated royalty; and Anna Leah Fox, a spiritualist at the heart of the Victorian séance craze. Along the way, discover other women who defied societal norms and shaped their times in unexpected ways. Dead Ladies Show is a NYC and Berlin-based podcast and live storytelling event series that celebrates the lives, legacies, and lasting impact of remarkable women from history. Where To Go: Check-in takes place at the Gothic Arch near the Main Entrance at Fifth Avenue and 25th Street (500 25th Street). Accessibility & Safety: Walking tour routes cover hilly, grassy, and uneven terrain. This tour is not accessible for those using wheelchairs or other mobility aids and may be difficult for those with balance or other mobility issues. There is no place to sit down during the tour.
