Feldenkrais Class at Inwood Art Works Studio

Inwood Arts Works invites you to these weekly one-hour classes, taught by Dr. Harold Rosenthal, Doctor of Physical Therapy, Feldenkrais Practitioner. Awareness Through Movement (ATM) was the invention of Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais, a physicist and judo master in the 20th Century. In ATM classes participants learn about their bodies. They learn how to slow down movement to enable a sense of how we move, how to access larger muscle groups for more powerful movement and how to reduce muscle tone to enhance relaxation. This method has been taught worldwide for more than 70 years to people of all walks of life, including performers and health care practitioners, to improve our quality of life. Two thirds of the $15 fee will be donated to Inwood Arts Works. Space is limited and a reservation is required. You can reserve for one class, 2 or all 3 classes. Due to space restrictions the classes are limited to 12 participants. Please wear loose-fitting clothing for moving, and bring a mat or blanket for comfort when lying down on the floor.
