Drive Your Plow Over the Bones of the Dead by Olga Tokarczuk

Drive Your Plow Over the Bones of the Dead is an eco-thriller set in a remote Polish village. The elderly, eccentric protagonist, Janina, believes that persecuted local animals are enacting supernatural, murderous revenge on the town’s corrupt, hunting-obsessed men, before it is revealed that she herself committed the crimes.
