About this event
One of 36 upcoming events at Lakewood Public Library, and 1,224 across Cleveland.
In ancient days, Lakewood went from being covered by warm ocean waters to sitting under a sheet of ice, a mile thick high. Alyssa Reinhardt-Krotseng will discuss how this region has changed through time with features that make Lakewood, and the greater Cleveland area, geologically distinct and exciting. Alyssa is a PhD Candidate in Applied Geology at Kent State University, studying carbon cycling in modern soils, including South African termite mounds and Ohio forests, using gas analysis.
