About this event
One of 27 upcoming events at Land Trust of North Alabama.
Spooky season is here, and we’re calling all volunteers to join us for a Halloween Weed Wrangle as we venture into the preserve to hunt down some of our creepiest invaders—invasive plants! We’ll spend the morning removing unwanted plants along the trails and throughout the preserve, helping keep our natural spaces healthy and looking their best. Expect to hike up to 1 mile with little elevation change, and no experience is required—just bring your Halloween spirit and a willingness to get a little dirty! Please wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes. Bug spray, sunscreen, work gloves, eye protection, and water are recommended. Registration is required, and a separate registration must be completed for each ghoul participating since everyone must sign a waiver. Guardians may register on behalf of minors. Come help us weed out the wicked, tame the trails, and give invasive plants a fright they won’t forget! Sign Up! If this event is canceled due to weather or trail conditions, we will send a notification to registered participants to the email address provided at sign up.
