Have you made a basket? On Saturday, May 2, 2026, at 11:00am, join Ms. Amy at the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center to learn about the unique skill of Basket Weaving. No registration is required for this free class. Admission is free, but free will donations encouraged. Native women needed to know many skills. One very important skill was basket weaving. Traditionally, baskets were essential for survival, used for gathering, storing, transporting, and cooking food. Today you can learn the unique skill of basket weaving! The Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center/Betty Strong Encounter Center was built and is sustained by the Missouri River Historic Development Organization as a gift of history to the community.
