From Long Island Museum

@ LIM’s Book Fair is Back—and Bigger Than Ever! Thanks to the incredible support and enthusiasm for last year’s event, we’re expanding the experience to include an art sale featuring original works by talented local artists at a variety of price points. Book lovers can browse a vast selection of gently used books, with countless treasures and bargains waiting to be discovered. Shop children’s books, fiction, non-fiction, cookbooks, history, art, and so much more! Stop and relax with your next literary adventure in our beautiful fountain garden, or catch a live musical performance by special guests 2Steps (more information coming soon!). Then make your way to the Carriage Museum to find your next favorite piece of art, created by artists from the LIMarts community. Whether you’re an experienced collector or looking for your first original artwork, you’ll find beautiful pieces available at a range of prices. Best of all, enjoy FREE admission to explore the entire Museum while you’re here! BOOK DONATIONS NEEDED! We are calling upon our community to help stock this year’s book sale with books that are ready for their next chapter. We will begin collecting used or new books starting August 20 through September 13, 2026. For small donations of 20 books or fewer, there will be a drop box located in our Visitors Center during our regular visiting hours. For Large donations, please contact Lynn Adler at [email protected] or (631) 751-0066 ext. 283. OPEN DROP-OFF DAYS: On the select days listed below, stop by the LIM Studio to drop off donations of any size: • Sun Aug. 23 @ 10:00 am–1:00 pm • Sat Aug. 29 @ 10:00 am–1:00 pm • Sat Sep. 5 @ 10:00 am–5:00 pm Please note that books must be in good condition.
