@ Get ready for National Potato Day on August 19th! Once known as the “Potato Capital of the World,” Long Island has a rich history of potato farming dating back to the early 1800s. Join historic cook, Diane Schwindt, for family fun, hands-on historical learning about the delicious LI potato, including food tasting and potato-themed crafts and games.  This program will take place outdoors on the Carriage Museum lawn, but will be moved into the Studio in the event of rain. REGISTRATION This program is included with museum admission. Registration is requested.
