MoCo at 250: Then and Now – Exhibit Submission Deadline

History Center Inaugural Exhibit – Calling All Montgomery County Artists! To celebrate the new Montgomery History Center and the County’s 250th, Montgomery History (a MPI Member Organization) invites Montgomery County artists to submit work to an inaugural art exhibit: “MoCo at 250: Then and Now.” They encourage artists to submit works that will be displayed in their new History Center exhibit hall, reflecting on 250 years of people and places. They seek art that highlights flora, fauna, landscapes, and communities – along with work that meditates on where we’ve been and where we’re heading. What local people, events, stories, and places inspire you? They encourage artists to use their research library, collections, and oral history databases. This art exhibit is in dialogue with their “Unfinished Revolution” publication which uplifts the stories and perspectives previously excluded from Montgomery County’s historical record.
