From Mt. Cuba Center

Join us around the campfire to learn how managing wild game is essential to protecting Mt. Cuba’s native plants and lush landscapes. We’ll be grilling up locally sourced, sustainable wild game alongside fresh seasonal vegetables. Whether you’re a seasoned outdoorsman or a curious eater, you’ll enjoy building your own custom tacos with an array of fresh toppings and Mt. Cuba-inspired sides. Beer, wine and spirits available for purchase. Complimentary non-alcoholic drinks will also be available. This program takes place in-person in Mt. Cuba Center natural lands Sunday, November 8, 2026. About the Instructor: Nate Shampine, CERP, is Mt. Cuba Center’s Natural Lands Manager responsible for implementing land conservation practices through the creation and maintenance of healthy, functional ecosystems. He is a graduate of SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry, and he is also a Certified Ecological Restoration Practitioner through the Society for Ecological Restoration.
