About this event

Join us at the Muskegon Heritage Museum of Business and Industry for National Knit in Public Day. Did you know that Muskegon County had at least 4 knitting mills that produced knit goods for our area? Come learn about the commercial knitting industry in our county as well as hobby knitting. Bring your current knitting (or crochet) project down to the museum and get free admission. We will have information available about the historic knitting mills. You can even take our vintage hand crank knitting machine for a spin. Spaces will be available for you to knit (or crochet) with friends old (and new). No reservations needed. This activity is supported by the MICHIGAN ARTS AND CULTURE COUNCIL and the NATIONAL ENDOWMENT FOR THE ARTS.
